Hello golfers, 

Last week was a unique and proud moment for us all at Naas Golf Club as the news filtered back from South Africa that Jack Hume had won the South African Strokeplay Championship. He birdied the last three holes to pip fellow countryman Stuart Grehan from Tullamore by 1 shot. 

The list of names on that particular trophy is impressive to say the least and this win means that Jack has now won on three different continents! I met with Jack this monday and I know he is greatly appreciative of all the kind texts, phone calls and emails he has recieved from our members. He has also commited to representing the club in team competition this year where he is available and looks forward to putting on the Navy of Naas this summer! No doubt he will be at the club over the coming days back working hard and looking ahead to his next tournament. 

As I write this newsletter, Jonathan Yates is leading the Irish Colleges Strokeplay Championship in Strandhill by 1 shot and we wish him all the very best this week. 


 

Ladies Group Lessons

Our Ladies group classes will now start on Wednsday 24th Febuary at 10am. 

This is an ideal course of lessons for any Lady golfer looking for a pre season refresher course. Open to all Lady golfers the course will run for 5 weeks covering every aspect of the game from driving to putting. 

My goal is to keep things really simple, have some fun and for you to play better this season. Classes are limited to 8 people.

PING Demo Night

Our PING demo night is now fully booked and I apologise to any member that was unable to get a slot however fear not. We will have a fully equipped fitting studio opening on March 1 and fittings for PING/Callaway/Srixon/Mizuno and Titleist will be available.

Coaching and Fitting Studio

We will host an open weekend at our Coaching and Fitting studio prior to official opening for members only on Saturday and Sunday 27th and 28th Febuary. Details will be in our newsletter from next week and also a reminder email will e sent to all members registered on the BRS tee time booking system.
