Best of luck to our Captain Dave Smyth, Lady Captain Yvonne Frayne and our Junior Captain James Lawlor who all tee it up this weekend to drive off and launch the 2016 season for Naas Golf Club. The time sheet filled up very quickly, however there is a waiting list and if anyone would like to put their name down please contact the pro shop. It promises to be a great day and all we need now is for the weather gods to be in good form on the day. Best of luck to everyone and I look forward to seeing you all on the day.
Johnny Conor and Jack are hoping the rain stays mainly on the plane in Spain! Best of luck to all three who compete this year in the Spanish Amateur in Seville. It is hard to believe, but Naas is the only club in Europe with three players competing in this prestigeous event. Entry is based on world ranking and we can be very proud of how the clubs investment in Junior programs, coaching and structure has led us to having three players on the Irish Senior Panel in 2016. I'm sure it will not be long before one of our Junior girls joins similar ranks!
My thanks to everyone who popped in last weekend to see our new indoor studio, it was great to see so many people and if you were not able to get to the club feel free to ask either myself or Brian and we can take you through what it all entails and give you a demonstraton of the facility. We are working on the decorative aspects of the layout as well as our "fitting wall" whicj will include brands such as PING/ Callaway/ Srixon/ Mizuno and Titleist. We hope to have news on our official launch over the coming week or two.
If you are interested in coaching for the coming season or you would like to book a fitting please contact the pro shop by clicking here or contact me on 0868326676 and I would be happy to take you through what is involved or book an appointment for you.
