Last Monday we had the official opening of our indoor coaching studio and our thanks to everyone who were able to attend.
The rain stopped just in time for our Captain Dave, Lady Captain Yvonne and Junior Captain James Lawlor to cut the tape and introduce everyone to our new facility.
I was delighted to introduce and explain what we can do to help improve your game in this new facility which leads the way in coaching software with video, trackman and biomechanics programs.
My goal has always been to provide the best that coaching can deliver to golfers of every level and we have achieved just that, not just with the new studio but also the shortgame area, putting green, Naas Driving Range and our fine golf course.
I am really looking forward to expanding our coaching reach and helping to create more enjoyment around your game over the coming years, whether that is to simply achieve a handicap or you are an aspiring tour player, the academy has something for everyone!
Congratulations to my assistant
Brian Sweeney who achieved his aimpoint putting certificate last week.
Brian as we know has a passion for putting and his knowledge in this area will be invaluable to everyone.
If you would like to know a little more please click on the link or pop in and
Brian or I can take you through what is involved.
http://www.aimpointgolf.com/ Finally for this week and as it is the 1st of July on Friday I want to wish everyone a very successful summer playing golf. Our teams have battled hard and some are still battling for success so fingers crossed those left will continue to go forward.
Last weekend I was in the managers seat with Senior Cup and although we lost out to the Hermitage, lots of lessons have been learned and will be passed on. Next for those lads will be the Barton Shield in Howth on the last weekend of July.
Best of luck to everyone competing in the PGA Tankard this weekend. I look forward to playing with the winner in September, in the mean time I need to practise what I preach and hit the range!!
