Well done to our Captains who all drove off in great style at last weekends Captains drive in. There was a great crowd and the festivities went on well in to the evening. Best of luck to our Captain Pat, Lady Captain Moira and Junior Captain Oisin who let it slip that he is a little nervous about giving speeches but was let off on this occasion!
No doubt he will be well rehearsed by the end of his term. It was great to see so many people around with over 140 competing in the competition and many more friends and family joining afterwards. With a little luck the great crowds on Saturday and the good weather at the start of this week will be a sign of things to come.
My short game school which started two weeks ago is now approaching its final week where we will address the area of bunker play. Our next school is Rachael's putting clinic and how appropriate with the upcoming Masters Tournament where putting is so very important. Indeed if you want to sharpen up your scores there is no better place to start than on the putting green.
All of our PING and Callaway fitting equipment has arrived and we have been conducting fittings over the past few weeks with great reaction to the new equipment. As I'm sure you are now aware there is no equipment more accurate than our TrackMan software to asses the benefits of being fitted for the right equipment so please feel free to contact me if you would like to be fitted or to try some of the new hardware.
10 Yard Challenge
With all my talk earlier about how this new equipment can improve your game, I would like to offer you a challenge, that I can improve your distance by up to 10yards or more within 15 minutes, interested? All it involves is making an appointment on Saturday 15th March between 9am and 12 noon. You hit 3 shots with your Driver and then it's up to me to find you that extra distance. All distances will be measured by TrackMan to ensure accuracy and when I succeed, well, you have just got the information you need to hit the ball further, FREE of charge.
If I don't I will give you a sleeve of golf balls for taking the time to participate. I can use a variety of ways from my technical knowledge on swing, the club you use, the ball you use etc, but we have to see the improvement on TrackMan.
So are you up for hitting it further?
