Ladies Intermediate Team

Well done to our Ladies Intermediate Team who put up a great fight last Sunday in the final at Seapoint. We were up against a very competitive Headfort team and in the end it was as close as it could have been. The ladies will be disappointed but will live to fight another day. Another final for Naas GC and making progress in team golf. Well done to all involved and roll on 2019!

Mr. Michael Morans Prize

Congratulations to David O'Reilly who won our President, Mr. Michael Morans Prize last Sunday. David has the unique pleasure of having won both the Captains and Presidents prize in his career on the fairways which gives him plenty of bragging rights over his fourball partners! Well Done David!

All roads lead to Paris…

Lots to still play for this season and plenty of excitement with the Ryder Cup only around the corner. Europe will have it all to do against a very in form USA Team.

The course in Paris is exceptionally good and the last few holes should provide great excitement.

The finale of the Made in Denmark tournament was an all-English affair, with a four-way play-off between Lee Westwood, Jonathan ‘Jigger’ Thomson, Steven Brown and eventual winner Matt Wallace. The tournament was played at the home course of Ryder Cup Captain, Thomas Bjorn, and the event has become a firm favourite with both players and fans alike. Due to the European Tour tournament rescheduling that will take place next year, the Made in Denmark will move to the week of BMW PGA at Wentworth and hopes to attract even more big names.

The automatic picks for Europe’s Ryder Cup team were also decided in Denmark, but I’m sure you are all now talking about the Captain’s wildcard picks that took place on Wednesday. The American team still have one pick remaining with the finale of the FedExCup unfolding over the next few weeks and all eyes on East Lake for the next 10-million-dollar man!
