Get Fitted and Hit Longer Some of you may be thinking of getting a new driver or a set of irons, maybe a new putter is long overdue but you don’t know what to buy and you or a loved one certainly don’t want to make a big investment only to find out that it is the wrong club. One way of avoiding that problem may be to buy a Custom Fit voucher for a TrackMan club fitting or Sam Lab putter fitting. You can put your own value on the voucher and you or your loved one can at a later time avail of the fitting and our coach led advice on what is best for your game. And don’t forget your extra 5% counts with this option! All our fittings come with a gapping session for your distances whether that be with your irons, woods or wedges. Better value AND better service! The need for speed! What golfer doesn’t want to hit the ball further? I have never met any golfer who didn’t express some desire to hit the ball further for as we all know, the game is easier the closer to the green you can hit the ball. I think it was John Daly that said "I’d rather be in the rough with a 9 iron than the middle of the fairway with a 6 iron", prompting all kinds of discussion around the legality of the ball and grooves but it is a reality now that length conquers accuracy in most cases. In the amateur game I think distance is important but the vast majority of golfers don not make the contact or create the power necessary to play even lofted clubs from the rough therefore hitting the ball in the fairway is still of huge benefit even at the sacrifice of a few yards! The modern driver is a very technology driven piece of equipment and made for a specific purpose and to be hit a certain way in order to maximise its potential. So what’s my advice? Get your TrackMan numbers for your Driver. You don’t need all of them, just a few relevant ones. Find out how you deliver the club and what is causing you to loose distance or accuracy. Get the solution and look forward to driving the ball better! Going to the range or teeing it up once a week knowing how to approach your driver will make it a lot easier to control and get the most from your shots off the tee. Without the accurate TrackMan numbers I’m afraid we are only guessing but once we have them a great result is only around the corner. Don’t just take my word for it, listen to this video by Paul McGinley for more information. Click here and get in touch if you would like to book a fitting. |
