Congratulations to Tony Bardon who won the Seniors last Wednesday. It was the last one of the year and the turn out was, as always, very good. Tony had a fantastic score of 47 points which he was absolutely thrilled about and he was kind enough to send me this note later that evening!
Gavin, a little bit of feedback. I won the Seniors today in Naas with 47 points. I was delighted to acknowledge your contribution to my improved golf. Best Wishes. Tony
Tony and I did some work together some time ago on his driving. As we all know, golf is a much easier game when played from the fairway. Like many golfers, Tony was slightly out of position at address, which although was a straight forward correction, made it difficult for him to control the direction of his shots. A great score and I'm sure more to come here!
We had another great result recently, our own Dave O Connell had a club fitting and we discovered that his irons were actually two inches shorter than what he required, along with shafts that were too heavy. The outcome of the fitting was Dave now had a set of lighter graphite irons that were the correct flex, length and lie. Not only will this save him from long term posture issues but also it gave him more distance and an immediate result by finishing 2nd within a week of receiving the clubs in the Sallins GS outing last week. Well done Dave!!
Click here if you would like to book a fitting in with me!
Best of luck to Paul Conway who competes in the individual section of the PGA Tankard in Druids Glen this Thursday.
Congratulations to all the finalists and winners of the Major Matchplay competitions last weekend. I know there are still a few to be played but it was a great night with some fantastic silverware on display. Many thanks to Augustine Fitzpatrick, the second who flew in from Austin Texas to be MC on the night along with Dave and Ned from Nevada who provided the entertainment!
