It was great to see so many teams out for some early trials last Saturday. The wind was howling but that didn't stop a great turnout from all the teams involved. Winter turns to summer almost in the blink of an eye this time every year and although summer temperatures are probably a lot to ask for the golfing season creeps up on us at alarming speed. Last Sunday we were back to 7am kick off and the season has technically at least, not even begun yet! With that in mind I encourage you to get to the range, loosen up that swing, iron out a few kinks and get ready to play golf!
This weekend looks like being another busy one and I'm sure the big Rugby game will keep many of you around in the evening on Saturday. Hopefully Brian O Driscoll will get the send off his career fully deserves and Ireland will win the Championship with a historical victory in Paris!
10 Yard Challenge! FREE DISTANCE!
I would like to offer you a challenge, that I can improve your distance by up to 10yards or more within 15 minutes, interested? All it involves is making an appointment on Saturday 15th March between 9am and 12 noon.
You hit 3 shots with your Driver and then it's up to me to find you that extra distance. All distances will be measured by TrackMan to ensure accuracy and when I succeed, well, you have just got the information you need to hit the ball further, FREE of charge. If I don't I will give you a sleeve of golf balls for taking the time to participate.
I can use a variety of ways from my technical knowledge on swing, the club you use, the ball you use etc, but we have to see the improvement on TrackMan, are you up to hitting it further?
To step up to the challange click here and book your appointment.
Rachael will be running a 3 week putting clinic as a follow up to my short game class over the past 3 weeks. Putting better is the quickest way to lower your scores and a part of the game that we don't spend enough time learning and practising.
The class starts on Saturday the 29th March and will take place every Saturday for 3 weeks. Please contact Rachael or myself if you would like to attend.
Last weekend, club member Jack Hume finished 5th in the the individual section of the European Nations Cup at Sotogrande Spain. Ireland finished 3rd overall just 2 shots behind the winners Scotland with Jack finishing up as the leading Irish player.
