I hope you have been enjoying some of our videos which I know you will get some benefit from even at home and without the room to hit shots you can still make some swings. It's good to have something to work on whilst we are somewhat confined to our own spaces, but hang in there and spend a few minutes every day applying some of our advice and you will benefit once we re-open. They say training smarter not necessarily harder and little and often is better and I would agree! A few minutes every day makes a big difference and all those minutes will add up! I have been speaking with our Course Manager Des who tells me the course is looking fantastic and he and the team are putting in some great work, there is no doubt that when we get back to playing, one of the benefits to all this time away from the course will be the incredible condition it is in when we return. I know you will all be looking forward to it as I am! There has been a great response to our coaching survey and with more members signing up to our newsletter every week, we are going to run the survey for another week before doing the draw, to give everyone a chance to enter. The winner will receive a complimentary coaching session with me at our TrackMan studio and a €50 voucher for the Pro Shop. Click here to access. I came across a video which I think offers a great insight in to some of the mindsets that goes in to big performances on the golf course. You may remember Annika Sorenstam's 59 way back in 2001. In the video Annika talks about the day, the round, what her focus was and how she dealt with the pressure as it built up towards the end of the round. If you listen closely there are some nuggets of advice that we can all learn from! Most of us will never shoot that score nett, never mind gross but pressure on the course and the challenges we have to deal with are all relative to our own individual games. It is a really honest account from the great Annika Sorenstam. Click here to watch, enjoy and feel free to drop me a note or feedback! In the meantime I hope you and your family stay safe and well and are able to enjoy as much as you can, this nice run of weather!
