As this is the last newsletter of 2014 I would like to wish you all a very Merry, Happy and Healthy Christmas and New Year. It has been a long time since we had plenty of golf over the Christmas period so let's hope the good weather continues for a few more weeks at least! On behalf of myself and the Pro Shop staff I would like to thank you for all your support throughout the year and we look forward to what will hopefully be another successful year for Naas Golf Club.

Our Christmas Raffle will now take place next Tuesday at 3pm. This is by request from some of you who will be down over the weekend and have not had a chance to enter. There are some great prizes on offer so if you have not entered there is plenty of time to do so.

Well done to all the Turkey winners this year, a very sought after prize and one that makes Christmas dinner taste all the sweeter! Not to mention the bragging rights!

Congratulations to Conor O Rourke who won the Titleist winter series in Portmarnock Links with a fantastic score of 62 (9under par) and also best of luck to Jack Hume who plays this week in the South Beach Amateur Championship in Florida.

Don't forget that from next week the evenings start to get brighter and that means thoughts will quickly turn to the new season. It rolls around very quickly and the new year will be full of promises. Turning your thoughts to some goals for the new season and acting on them will reap its rewards and I would encourage you to put some thought in to how you can get more from your golf next year!
