Tips from the tee
Do you sometimes wonder what you should be thinking of on the course or working on at the range? You are there hitting golf balls but question how much you are gaining from it? If so perhaps you need to look at how you are practising as opposed to just standing there aimlessly hitting golf balls, often with the same club. Here is a simple approach that can make a difference. Try varying your practice up by playing holes in your mind. For example, after warming up, hit a driver at an imaginary fairway, then take your next shot into an imaginary green and so on, keep changing your club and moving to different holes in your mind. Do this for one month and see if it improves both the quality of golf you are playing and also your levels of concentration. It's worth a try! As you know I am always stressing the benefit of being fitted for your equipment, even the best Indian will miss fire a crooked arrow and as Lee Trevino once said not even God can hit a 1 iron (he uses a hybrid!) At our fitting studio we use only the best software in TrackMan and have a host of options available for you to try. The new Mizuno irons are available from September and the new DNA shaft fitting software is really impressive, narrowing down the options by analysing how you pressurise the shaft during your swing. Making the fitting process simple but efficient and accurate. Don't forget we include your fitting and a gapping session to assess your distances as part of our club fitting service to you at no extra charge.
