Congratulations to our Ladies Junior Cup teams who are through to the Leinster Final, and commiserations to the Challenge Cup team who were narrowly beaten on Sunday. 

It's always tough to lose when you are so close to a final, but Kate and her team can be very proud of what they achieved and everyone will be better for the experience which will benefit them again soon. Well done to everyone involved! 

The Ladies Finn Trophy team won the first leg 3-2 against Enniscorthy and have another tough match at home this week so we wish them all the very best of luck!! 

Open Week

Open week was a great success, and we managed to get through the week without any weather interruptions and the time sheets were consistently busy all week. Well done to the Open Week committee, and in particular Tim, Denis and Kevin who were there from dawn till dusk and Fionula O Neil who designed our prize tables and received great compliments all week. 

David and his team have done incredible work in presenting our course this year despite record volumes of play, so well done to David and all his team who are a great bunch of lads and very dedicated to the cause. Well done also to all the clubhouse office and my own pro shop staff who all put in great work this week.



Next week I have a Pitching Class on the practise area between 6-7pm on wed 19th. Following on from my chipping class this will give you a simple method for those half shots that can at times be hard to figure out.

Congratulations to our own Mark McCormack who won the Leinster under 12s last Sunday! Mark is a great prospect and a fantastic young boy who many of you will know comes from a strong golfing background, and we will no doubt hear more from Mark over the coming years. We are all very proud of your achievement and wish you the best of luck for the rest of the summer. 

Finally best of luck to our own Jack Hume at the Home internationals at Royal Portrush GC this week. Another big week for Jack and the Irish Team as they defend the Home Internationals. Immediately after he will join his Senior Cup teammates at the Island GC this Saturday in the Leinster Quarter finals against Dun Laoighre and we wish them all the best of luck.
