The golfing season certainly feels like it is in full flow! Teams and competitions are busy every week now and best of luck to all the players and captains representing DLGC this summer! The weather too has been a massive improvement recently and obviously, we are seeing this in the faster, firmer conditions on course. Of course, this also means the rough is that little bit longer! Keeping it in the fairway will be key and playing shots from rough onto faster greens, so there is a little hint as to where you might spend your practice time!

Our TaylorMade fitting day is next Wednesday and if you would like to attend please click here or contact us at the Pro Shop. TaylorMade need no introduction and the new SIM2 series of woods and irons have performed very well so far this year, both on Tour and in our fitting studio!

Whilst former Irish Open Champion Jon Rahn was a very popular winner it was even more impressive to see Leona Maguire finish second on the LPGA Tour. A win is not far away and she is inspiring a generation of lady golfers, something that can only be good for the game of golf.

The Irish Open returns to Mount Juliet on Thursday 1st July to Sunday 4th July, Tickets are limited but if you do happen to be one of the lucky ones you are in for a treat! I played it recently and the rough is certainly going to mean hitting fairways is a must, but when is that ever bad advice!

Enjoy your golf and I look forward to seeing you at the club soon!
